SPEED TRAPS EVERY FEW FEET THROUGHOUT WINNEMUCCA

Driving from Boise to Reno yesterday, we were hungry and looking forward to (for many miles) our arrival in Winnemucca, realizing it was the largest town along our route. However, upon entering this small town, we were welcomed by ominous police cars on EVERY block.... just waiting like vultures to pull over motorists who couldn't slow from the 75 mile posted speed just outside the city to the ridiculous 25 mph speed throughout this isolated town. As hungry as we were, we were too concerned with watching our speedometer to be able to look for a place to stop and eat. I really feel sorry for this town's merchants as I am sure other potential customers feel the same as we did yesterday. The first eating establishment we found AFTER leaving Winnemucca (thankfully without a ticket), is where our dollars were spent instead of in this poor little isolated high desert town. The only other ticket I have received in the last ten years was the same type of situation in the tiny community of Marsing, Idaho just west of Boise as we were following local motorcyclists (decoys who were evidently immune from the law) going faster than the 31 miles per hour we were ticketed for going. Next time we want to visit loved ones in Boise, we will fly up, thank you. The cute movie "CARS" is sadly just a fantasy because who can afford to travel the back roads of the USA with vulture police forces like this?
