New Boat - Junk

I bought a new boat last year. This was my first one. When I picked it up there was mold in the cuddy cabin and water in same. They said it was from condensation that it was normal when they have been shrink wrapped. Not knowing any better they clean it and I took it home. Constant leaks are in the cabin and I have had the boat "repaired" 4 time. It still leaks. This is a short version of course I could go on. Dont buy a boat from them. I have retained a lawyer who is building a case if they dont replace the boat outright.

Bad experience all around!

My husband took our boat to Riverside for preventive service. Our boat was covered & in pristine condition when we left it. When we picked it up, our tarp was crumbled up in the bow of the boat & everything was dirty & soaked from rain. The fiberglass was scraped up, the mechanic left trash in the boat, greasy fingerprints all over the place, & gunk/grease in the ski well. Our skeg was dragged & badly scuffed up. A bolt near the hydraulics was bent. The bolt scraped across the out drive when they raised/lowered the engine & broke off a chunk of metal casing the size of the tip of my thumb. The service manager & owner said to give them the chance "to make things right". The 2nd time I went to pick it up, I was ABSOLUTELY STUNNED! They replaced the bent bolt, but did NOT fill in the area where the chunk of metal had been broken off. They did a SUPER half-@#$ sanding job on the damaged areas. They spray painted the out drive, leaving runs in the paint. But wait! It gets better! They didn't wipe the out drive off & sprayed over dirt, which further ruined what used to be a smooth finish. I told the service manager that my 8 year-old could have done a better job! The fiberglass tech did a good job. Riverside completely lacked respect for our property. I am fearful that the mechanical work was poorly done. My advice: RUN AWAY FROM RIVERSIDE MARINA!

Rip off!

I special-ordered our boat through Riverside Marine. When we arrived to take delivery of it, it was uncovered & filthy. They were completely unprepared with paperwork. To clean it, they hosed the boat down & broke the brand new radio in the process. When we towed our new boat home, it didn't travel very smoothly. I soon found that NOT ONE of the BRAND NEW trailer tires had been balanced. The spare tire was so bad that it COULDN'T BE balanced!I paid $60 to have the tires balanced & $250 to replace the defective spare. Riverside's solution was to offer a 20% discount from their supply shop.
