Overall, I had a great experience with this restaurant. I savored a lentil and feta salad with crunchy, fresh ciabatta, one choice of salad toppings among many that looked equally as innovative and delicious. That's not even scratching the surface of the authentic-looking personal pizzas, sandwiches, and scrumptious desserts. The place was packed, attesting to the great quality and selection of the food. The staff handled the rush with skill and control, promptly preparing the food exactly as I wanted it. Unfortunately, the number of patrons present also meant that some diners were wandering around the periphery of the outdoor seating circle looking for someplace to relax and enjoy their meal, myself included. Those who were lucky enough to get a seat were rather cramped, bumping elbows with people at the next table. Also, the inside of the restaurant was rather spartan in appearance. I eventually had a great lunch sitting on a nearby park bench, so I won't complain about the lack of seating or aesthetics of the restaurant. However, if I were to suggest improvements for this delicious lunch spot, I would recommend making the place more accomodating to those besides the busy grab-and-go working crowd that would like plenty of room and attractive indoor and outdoor furnishings to enjoy over a leisurely lunch. If you want a delicious on-the-go lunch in Northwest DC, Breadline is the place!
