Cheated?

On 3/30 1999 I purchased a ring from Steven The ring required a large stone a diamond wasn't an option. After discussing the problem Steve informed me of another synthetic stone called mosinite that comprable to a diamond but better than a cubic. After agreeing on a price I purchased the ring which what I thought was a mosinite stone. After nine years the stone in the ring had chipped almost in half. I called Steven immediately and asked him about the problem. He asked me to send the ring to him so that he could examine and if there was a problem that he would fix it. I took the time and had two different jewelers look at the stone both of which informed me that the stone was glass or possible lionite. Steven dennied this and informed me that he had never installed a mosinite in any ring. He also stated that the jewelers that examined the stone were incorrect and to please send the ring to him so that he could fix it. I sent him the ring. After he recieved the ring he informed me that after examining the stone that it was indeed a cubic zirconium and that he would replace it free and return the ring to me. I refused and why did he not give me a Mosinite as we had originally agreed and why wouldn't he replace the broken cubic with a mosinite. He refused, so I asked him to send the ring back with the broken stone. He agreed. I stongly recomend that you use another jeweler for your jewelry needs.
