User Reviews of Saverianos Resstaurant and Bar

Saverianos - quiet spot

Best food and classy presentation. Hidden spot - needs promotion. Great service -

best italian food in farmington/unionville

This cute little restaurant is unionville's best kept secret. It might have been hard to locate at first but what a gem! Saverianos is brand new and sparkling clean with a friendly atmosphere. The minute you walk into the place you feel welcome. Instead of my usual cocktail (there is a full bar with flat screen TV) I started with the wine list and was pleased it wasn't 20 pages of wines I can't afford. There are probably no more than 2 dozen wines on this list, and none of them priced above $45.00, although I decided on my waitress's suggestion of the featured wine which was a 2004 Barbaresco at $58.00. It was fantastic and I was even allowed to take my unfinished bottle of wine home with me. For an appetizer I ordered the daily special and shared the deep fried artichoke hearts (there were 4 of them!) with my wife and they were delicious ... better than any deep fried zucchini I ever had! Our dinners were off the menu and included salad, pasta and a locally baked Tuscan bread with olive oil. We had the Veal Parmesan and fresh grilled Salmon, and they were both home runs. They offer David Glass Desserts but we were stuffed but we'll be back and save room next time. Since there are only 12 tables I would recommend you call ahead and reserve a table.
