Make Sure To Get A Contract

My husband and I met with the guy who runs the place to discuss having our wedding reception there. The place was very nice and he seemed very helpful. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication, and he refused to rectify the problem. We specifically asked if we could use our own caterers, and he said "You can use whatever caterer you want." I am quoting him exactly. Then we sent him the deposit of $300 without getting a contract. We called him up a while later to find out kitchen details for our caterer, and he informed me that we couldn't use our own caterer. He said that they never let anyone use thier own caterer there. My husband and I had both heard him say that we could use whatever caterer we wanted when we had originally met with him, so we asked for our money back. He refused. He said that it was too late for him to rent out the hall for that date, but if by some miracle it got rented out he would return our money. I drove by the hall on the morning of the day we had reserved, and there were cars there, indicating that the hall had been rented out. I called a left him a message about this, and he was very confrontational and left us a rude voicemail message in return, still refusing to refund our money. The place looks very nice and he makes it sound wonderful, but you should cover your butt and get a detailed contract signed because you never know what could go wrong.

Good food and Decor by John S. at InsiderPages

I would highly recommend this facility, they have good food and fair prices. The hall has a knightly look and fits well with the name. You will enjoy the food at this facility.
