My wife paid $20.00 at a silent auction for a gift certificate that an employee of the Fringe Salon donated to Cater Elementary in Temple. My wife went to the salon to get a haircut with the gift certificate and the owner, Heather Gonzales, stated that since the particular stylist no longer worked for the salon, she would not honor the gift certificate even though it was on her standard gift certificate form. My wife and I cannot believe that this occurred; however, it goes to show you what type of business this is - buyer beware!
