She has very poor business practices! I became a patient of hers on recommendation (from mom) that she didn't overbook patients so there was no a long wait period. In order to do this, she required you sign that you will pay a $25 fee for "no show" or late cancellation. That was fine with me. However, one day I had a appt to get lab results. I waited ~1.5hrs total, got my copay check back and left. I wrote a letter to Dr. Jones explaining what had happened, she didn't respond. I decided to give the office second chance. I was sick, so I made anoter appt. Upon arriving and waiting ~15 minutes, I was asked for my copay for the visit. After about 5 mins, the office manager informed me that I had an outstanding $25 charge for late cancellation and that I would have to pay it before I would be seen. What! Long story shorter, I refused to pay the $25, Dr. Jones would not come out to talk to me about the situation, they discharged me as a patient and they refused to give me back my copay check. I proceed to call CHP in order to complain about Dr. Jones, but ultimately decided to take the higher road and put the past behind me. The copay was only $15 and it would have costed more to stop payment. After a few months, I got a letter in the mail saying that the $10 ($25 - $15 copay they refused to return)was going to collections.
