I Was Transformed by Donna...OMG!

I went to Donna at Stands yesterday after hearing the great reviews about her. I was hoping to get my black roots highlighted and to put some more blonde in. Donna used a technique that saved me a tons of money. In minutes I had no more black roots and she worked her magic...and I am not kidding. She used some organic product from Morocco to blow dry my frizzy hair. OY!! After she finished with me...and I might add...I am trying to let my hair grow and she just skimmed the ends and under stood I wanted long hair (a bonus for sure)!! After that I got what Donna called a "flash foil" Then a gloss to preserve the color and shine. OMG I was could not believe my eyes when she was done stying me! I have beautiful, silky, shiny, healthy hair that look totaly natural! It was no mistake that I ended up there! Donna is so easy to talk to and caring. She never left me and explained every thing she was doing and why! I never thought she could top my old hairdresser in Wisconsin, she blew him away! The price was so reasonable too. Donna truly loves her work! I would like to add that the staff at strands made me feel at home. They were all so nice to me. Donna is really busy so I make my next apointment. Go see her...she works miracles!!!

Best of Boston ~ Donna

I work for a Boston publication. I am the beauty editor & was invited to see Donna at Strands Hair Design in Swampscott. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Pleasant staff, clean salon, casual astmosphere & plenty of parking. After interviewing Donna & finding much about her background & what makes her tick, I asked her to look at my hair and to get her vision, I was not planning on having my hair done. She had me stand up, shake my head around they she looked in a side mirror & a back mirror that surrounds her station. Donna carefully inspected all angles & looked carefully at my profile. We talked about my lifestyle & how I care for my hair. She had some simple but useful suggestions & tips about stying my hair. I decided to let her give me a blowdry. She washed my hair & gave me a thorough shampoo & conditioner then proceeded with the blow dry, explaing some shortcuts to make it easier & faster for me in the early morning. Then handed me the blow dryer. I guess I was making it harder by not using the nozzle at home. She showed me how to get rid if a funky wave in the front. I did it myself over and over again so I could get the hang of it. Nice little lesson by Donna! She did a sprectacular job with my blowdry. I liked Donna's sence of style, her self assurance and passion for her work. The staff at Strands made me feel very welcomed. I was indeed impressed with Donna's skill & appreciation for her clients. I will try my next color and cut with Donna.
