We'll be back!

Found a little treasure in Surry County. This was a quaint, professional, friendly and quality restaurant! We were treated like family more than just a tourist and the food was reasonable and delicious. They offer sandwiches, seafood, chicken - grilled or fried, steaks, and their own signature recipes they've been cooking up for over 50 years of peanut raisen pie and peanut soup. Both of which sound odd but are surprisingly delicious! All rolls and desserts are the good 'ol homemade ones - and if you've never had an apple fritter dessert, you definitely should give that a try too. Just a great experience and we'll be sure to go back.

Yum!

Have a family of 8. Went to Surrey House for Mother's Day. Most of us had their "Sunday Special" which was..... tender baked chicken, Edwards Country Ham, Cornbread Stuffing, corn puddin, & green beans. The plate was FULL of food and the price was $12.99. What a deal! My Mom was treated like a queen for a day by people who didn't even know us! It was a great Mother's Day celebration. Thanks Surrey House.

Great Meal - Great time

If you like great home made food, great prices, service like visiting your family at Thanksgiving, this is the place for you. These kinds of places are hard to find these days. Very much good home style cooking, I was treated like I've been there forever and it was my first trip. I'll be back!

Worth the Trip!

The Surrey House Restaurant was an enjoyable experience for my family. We enjoyed our trip to the restaurant through the country side. The restaurant is warm and home-like. Food is southern cooking. Crabcakes were delicious as was the flounder. Our chldren had the fried chicken (which we also enjoyed). Portions are so generous and the cost is the most reasonable I've seen in a restaurant in a very long time. Their freshly made desserts were equally delicious. The service was unreal. Waitress cheerful and attentive. Food delicious and hot, drinks always filled. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks Surrey House for a great dinner. We'll be back!
