A trip back in time

Went there in early January for dinner before a UConn basketball game. Hadn't been there since 1986. Very good food. Going this Saturday for breakfast on the way to the Mark Twain house in hartford.

Terrible Service

Went in this evening and hardly anyone there only 2 or three other couples. 1st we sat down and waited about 5 mins. another couple came in and a glass or water wer right away brought to them it was like we were not there waitress just walked by us.Then we finally got are water no ice. We asked for ice water waitress said ok then walked away looking puzzled she never returned we waited 5 mins was discusted with the service expected much better service considering the place was practically empty.

The ice cream is very smooth and rich and the hot fudge is the best I have had in the Hartford area. They make some of the best sandwiches and you absolutely must have their french fries. Be prepared to wait...
