Jake's Bar and Bistro, Great view, horible service.

We decided to try out Jakes in Steilacoom. Started out ok. Dan, the bartender, was nice and got us our two quickly while we waited for a spot on the deck to open up. We'd been told 10 min wait. 40 min later the hostess notices us still at the bar and says "Oh, you're still here? There's a table open. Do you want it?" 20 min later surly waitress takes order. Crab dip, the salmon for me and the shrimp scampi for MIke. 15 min later, dip arrives with 10 tiny slices of stale french bread.It sure tasted like they forgot the crab. 30 min later, no refills on our drinks.The waitress comes by to let us know that the kitchen is out of shrimp. " Mike orders the Chicken and wild mushroom burger. She gets bread for the dip while we wait. Still no refills on the drinks. Right after that she brings me my salmon. "I would really rather eat with him, please." Stupid look on face takes my diner back.Finally, after another 20 min wait she comes back with Mike's dry chicken burger and my original stone cold salmon. We flag Tracee down for a to go box. I will finish my Salmon at home after I have HEATED IT. Still no drinks. When she the box, asks if there is any thing else. "Just the bill please." That is the only thing she gets to our table in a timely manner all night. $56.00 and some change. And a $2.00 charge for the extra bread. How nice! If you like High food and drink prices, long waits, cold food, & unfriendly service, you will love Jake's bar and Bistro in Steilacoom, WA.
