A Real Gem!

The Funky Hue is a real gem of a salon where you'll be treated as family. Super friendly staff with a passion for providing excellent service. Best of all is getting to know owner Bea Valdez. She's an amazing professional hair stylist and colorist, completely down to earth , positive, and absolutely fabulous!

SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING!

This salon is 1st class without the high prices. As soon as you come through the door they make you feel at home. You are getting your hair done by the owner who has been doing hair for over 15 years. She has been all over the world doing hair shows and keeps in touch with what is in style now because of her constant interaction with the fashion retailers, product companies, and hair shows. My daughters love her! You can walk in not knowing what you want and leave loving what you decided on. She works miracles on the worst hair, especially the "self" color treated hair! She does all types of hair and ages of people. Bea is an awesome hairstylist! I would recommend her to anyone!

SHE FIXED MY HAIR!!!

She repaired my badly color treated hair. My hair was wirey and dry. She was able to keep the blonde I wanted and yet make it look so much healthier! Love it.Thanks Bea! I recommend the Funky Hue to anyone!

SHE CAN FIX ANYTHING!

Bea (OWNER) was so patience with my kids. She had an area for the children to sit, color and watch movies. She was patient with me not knowing what I wanted to do with my hair. I felt 20 years younger when I left. Love my hair! Thanks Bea!

Great Cut and Color

My blonde hair has darkened over time so I get blonde highlights. Bea who owns the salon has been the only hairdresser to be able to highlight my hair with blonde without it having that coppery look! She also works on one person at a time, so you get very personalized attention. Always a great experience.

Friendly Environment AMAZING Quality

Bea at The Funky Hue is one of Southwest Houston's BEST kept secrets. I leave the salon feeling like a million bucks, not that I spent that! She carries Matrix products that I can afford and work really well with my hair. (curly & full) I can always trust her judgement when I say, "Do what ever you want, I need a change." I would HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment with enough notice. She's a Gem & books up quickly. Don't let the facade fool you, she's tucked away in a hole in the wall joint, but hands down my hair has never looked better! You'll wish you had met her sooner!

Excellent Service

A friend of mine is a customer and told me to take my girlfriend there. So for her birthday i did and she looked amazing after the stylist Bea was done.She is so nice and gives excellent service.Also she is very informative. I give her a total big thumbs up. My girlfriend is now a dedicated customer.Thank You Bea!
