Average, and not worth the long wait in line. I admire Paula for building her empire, but this restaurant is not all that. You'll find better Southern cuisine elsewhere.

My hubbie and I love watching Paula on the Food Network and were so excited about our visit to Savannah and being able to have lunch at Lady & Sons. What a disappointment! The food was not what we expected from this famous Lady and her well known restaurant. We were very fortunate not to have to wait for seating, which was the only plus coming here. The lunch buffet was probably one of the worst that we have ever eaten. Perhaps Paula should come back into the kitchen to see just how bad the chefs at her restaurant are preparing her dishes. The mashed potato's were gooey, the sweet potato's were way too sweet, the pulled pork was too sweet and the selection was not that great. The worst of it was the peach coobler that was undercooked. So there you have it our experience here left us very unhappy with our lunch. The ambiance was aweful also, and I almost forgot, the girl that served the biscuts and corn cakes also had a broom in her hand sweeping the entire time while we were eating and this was disgusting. Did I like her restaurant, no and guess I fell for all the hipe and will never ever eat here again.

In 2007 we visited Savannah, one of the main events was to eat at Paula Deans restaurant. The line was so long the first day and since my husband was in a wheelchair I wasn't sure how we were going to fit in with the crowd. I ask the girl that seem to know what was going on if there was any possible we could make a reservation for the next day so we could eat there. The girl took out name and phone # and told us to be there earlier the next day, we were and I let her know we were there she said just a minute and to go to the front door. She took us in and put us in a small sitting room until all the other guest were seated, then came after us and had a table arranged for us. I thought that everything worked out very well, and the food was delicious. I just want to thank Paula and her staff for being so accommodating. I plan on going to her restaurant in the casino in Tunica since I found out that one has been opened there. Thanks Paula
