Regarding Co-Pay

Reviewer should understand that by law they must take a co-pay. It is required by your insurance company. Could she have billed you for it? Possibly, but if you were thirsty and went into the store and wanted a Coke and didn;t have the money, but was really thirsty, would they bill you for it? No. It is the way business works. You pay for services as you receive them. Medicine is no different. You should have gone to the ATM and gotten the $20 and it is unfair that you give the doctor a bad rating because they follow the law of your insurance company.

$20.00 co-pay

I went to Dr.Zalkin about three years ago for a physical and a couple of later visits. My husband went to her for a physical and had insurance and no money problems. I haven't been to any other doctor since and went to Dr.Zalkin this morning at an appointment 8:00am knowing I have shingles that she treated for me before. I did not have my $20.00 co-pay and only an american express which they did not take. They told me I could go to the ATM or whatever, but they would not see me if I didn't have my $20.00. I was in a lot of pain which meant nothing to this doctor's assistant. What a really nice way to be treated? And she wasn't that good anyway.
