Our party of five recently left Bouchon agreeing it was the worst dining experience we've ever had. Very little effort or expense went into the restaurant's design and decor. It's basically an ordinary retail space with posters on the wall and hard wooden chairs as the only seating option. Dim lighting can only go so far to create "atmosphere". Service was exceptionally slow. It took over an hour for our entrees to arrive, even though it was a quiet Tuesday night. One entree had to be redone, and the redo took about 25 minutes extra. The food was the worst part. The NY steak was surprisingly hard to cut, even with a steak knife. The salmon had to be rejected twice (first served overcooked/dry, then served seared/raw). The lamb left an unpleasant aftertaste that lasted for hours. We would not recommend Bouchon to anyone.
