The Gates is the Pits

I started going to the Gates about 8 years ago. Since then the quality of the services has deteriorated and there is a constant turnover in staff. Meanwhile, the prices have steadily increased. My husband recently purchased a gift certificate for me for services- manicure and pedicure and 3 months later when I went to use the gift certificate (valid for 1 year) I was told they had raised the prices, so I had to pay the difference. I was SHOCKED! My certificate was for a services and not a specific dollar value and no where on the certificate was there a disclosure that the certificate was only good for a certain dollar value and that if the prices were changed the bearer of the certificate would be responsible. I think this is poor taste and poor customer service and should certainly deter those thinking of purchasing a gift certificate for a loved one. This is just another reason why I will never patronize the Gates ever again.
