Well this isn't exactly Spiesekammer, which is the standard I hold all German restaurants to. The spaetzle was burnt (and tasted burnt!) and the portions were small IMO. It is a cute little place but...

German food in San Juan Bautista? Believe it. One of the last true "Mom & Pop" restaurants out there, I think. Joan and Peter legitimately run the place, and are the only two staff people you see....
