User Reviews of Firestone Tire and Service Centers

They used to be great, but....

I've been coming here for several years and used to think they were great. Six months ago (June 2007) we started having major problems with them. They misinterpretted a computer diagnostic on my wife's car and spent $600.00 fixing a problem that didn't exist while ignoring a larger one that did. OK, mistakes happen. Then I brought my truck in for routine maintenance. They wouldn't honor the rebate in the paper or the price they gave me when I brought my truck in. They claimed I stopped in to authorize more work when I was in Riverside in a class all day. They tried to charge me for a computer diagnostic that they admitted they never finished. When I asked them to explain something on the invoice they became extremely rude and said California law prohibits them from discussing it with me. I am an attorney and there is no such law. In fact it is a violation of the law to refuse to discuss an invoice or to use untruthful legal statements to entrap a consumer. I am considering a lawsuit against Firestone; is there anyone else with a bad experience that wants to be part of it? Bottom line - I'm not going back until they change the entire staff!

No Gimmicks, No Cheats by Joseph G. at InsiderPages

I've been coming here for a several years now for simple auto maintenance and found that they are honest about what needs to be done and don't do work until you authorize it so you always know how much it will...
