I had a Thomasville couch recovered. They were on time. The actual technical work was well done. But my original couch cushions were down and foam filled, oversized and wonderfully supportive and encompassing when you sat on them. I made a point of discussing that with the sales person. What I got back was hard foam wrapped in batting of average size - less expensive filling and less material used, and not nearly as comfortable. Not the same couch I sent out. Arrow tried to adjust the hardness by changing the batting/foam ratio and it is softer now but it is not the welcoming encompassing couch it used to be. Since the cushions were downsized and are no longer down filled I have essentially lost the couch I loved. I paid more for this work than replacing it would have cost and have a couch I will eventually replace (when I can afford to). To add insult to injury I also experienced the add on game . The first quote I was given did not include sales tax - quite a difference. Then when they called to deliver it I was hit up for stain prevention treatment costs. At that point you are trapped, with an unanticipated (by you) cost that they knew they were going to try to sell you but waited until it was too late to back out to do. Tacky business practices. The sad thing is I would have paid more to keep the original quality of the cushions. Now I am left with over 3K in expenses and a couch I do not like the feel of and will end up paying that much again to replace.
