Terrible Experience

I went to Dr. Robert Topham for rystalene injections. He said he preferred to use a "dental block" to numb the lips, and I agreed to try it that way. The shots sent terrible pain thru my my face, and his response was it was just like going to the dentist, and he treated patients with this every day. Ultimately, I had a reaction which caused my throat to constrict and my entire body to quake uncontrollably. I found his reaction to be callus and condesending. It was at that time that I was first made aware what the drug was that had been injected, and the possible side effects. With legs still jumping, I left to drive home. Never was asked if I felt ok to do so. Side effects continued thru the day with a horrid headache and general sense of anxiety...all in all, the worst experience with a doctor I've had! And, I have been having lip injections for over five years. I know what that sort of pain consists of, and how to control it. Being told to "just go to a happy place" is not quality care.
