C.B.T. is a good studio but like all good places it has bad things about it. CBT picks favorites, students and classes. If you are a favorite GREAT! but if not... well then lets just leave it at that. Although they do teach good technique this studio isn't very serious, in my classes everyone is always talking NON STOP! They DO expect you to really commit, especially during the performances, making you come to sometimes day-long rehearsals. Regardless it DOES have good things, CBT isn't really a competitive studio, if you don't like that kind of thing. Ms. Stacy and Ms. Orlob, the directors, really get to know everyone in the studio, so if you have any concerns or anything you can always talk to them. The environment is sort of fun and carefree. And ,if you can afford it, every four years they go somewhere fun over the summer- NYC, Disneyland...

CBT prides themselves on being one of the biggest and oldest dance studios in the valley. Unfortunately, they have lost touch with what is really important. Parents feel completely left out of the process. They can't see their girls in costume. They can't watch a class. And the YOUNG teachers have no real clout, so the art directors are it. The older one (Julie I believe)is completely unprofessional. The first time I went in there I should have known. She talked on a personal call for 5 min. while I waited 7 months pregnant and a 16 month old running around. I didn't know where else to go so I just went w/ them and have decided to move. It hasn't gotten better. Fees are also high considering no personal photos of kids, no choice in tickets for recital, just 3 or 4 min. on stage for the little ones. NO personal attention. TOO BIG.

I would like to inform all of those considering taking at cbt, that cbt actually stands for CRUDDY BALLET THEATRE. the teachers are all very unprofessional, and pick favorite girls for EVERYTHING!!! this makes all the others feel ignored and mistreated. its to expensive to sign up and there are lots of outrageous fees. if your daughter signs up you will never see her again as they are constantly at practice. once you get in you cant get out! the teachers are cruel, and we regret ever signing up. Sincerely anonymous.

My daughter loves taking dance at the Children's Ballet Theatre. She takes three times a week and is always excited to go to class and to perform in the ballet they put on each spring. They put on an amazing dance performance. It is not some little recital, rather it is a full-scale ballet, and it is wonderful experience for the kids. CBT is not cheap and I do get tired of all the fees and costs at performance time, but seeing how happy my daughter is makes it worth it!

Nice building for a Ballet School, VERY unqualified teachers teaching above the Pre-Ballet levels. While they put on fun and fancy sets and costumes at their shows, the lack of pointed feet and straig...
