I have had two children to attend the Normandy shcools from K-12 and I must say that I have no problems with the teachers or the principals. I think no matter what school district your child is in the parent must remain active at all times. Not just when there is a problem. My son is now a senior whom has been a 3.8 student since he has been in the school district. He has been scouted for sports as well as his academics Thanks to the staff at the high school. So don't believe the hype. All school districts have issues because PARENTS don't take responsibility for their child they just blame others.

I heard all the complaints about the school district but I still I attempted to give them a chance. When my child was bullied and beaten we filed a complaint with the school but they did nothing. When my child made a mistake of bumping into a teacher he was yelled and screamed at by the teacher then suspended although it was an accident. This is only one of many problems. The students in this school district are out of control because the teachers are out of control. The principals and staff are very unprofessional and they will bully your child if they can. Believe what you have heard.

I would not recommend anyone who loves their children and value their safety to send them to this school. My daughter has been harassed by a classmate since the first day of school and we've filed a complaint with the school and they have handled it in a very unprofessional manner. The principal has done nothing because solid evidence cannot be produced but my child has begun having panic attacks each day she has to go, cries uncontrollably, and I have an officially tested gifted child who once loved school now she hates it. It's an outrage.
