I read a few of the remarks online and could not let them go without writing my opinion. There will be bad teachers in every school and it is our jobs as parents to work hand in hand with the adminstration to help eliminate teachers who no longer want to teach. I will tell you my first years experience at Blades was horrible then we experience two wonderful teachers, Mrs Hart and Mrs. Meyer. These teachers truely care and helped improve my childs education. Stay in touch with the administration, get involved, and make a difference. You have the resources to contact anyone in the district do it. Writing on a message board will not change your childs or my childs education only making teachers and administration accountable can. Push them for what is right and we as a community will all win.

I would like to let everyone know my opinion. My child goes to Point and it is wonderful. He also has special needs, and I haven't ever seen teachers who care more about my child and myself. Even my older daughter's teacher has given me support. I wish you could have the teachers that we have. The are WONDERFUL!!!

after having a child at Beasley elem. ad at Buerkle Middle School I agree with the person from Blades. The teachers no longer care about the children. my child is also a special needs child and was treated like dirt. The emphasis is on the allmighty dollar.I am alocal youth sports coach and I have several parents who are unhappy with the Mehlville district.I am just thankful to get my child moved to SSD.

Being a new kid in a school is hard. Being one with special needs is worse. Being a child coming into Blades is a nightmare. These teachers have no patience for those who are not "normal". Little patience is shown for the parents who are unfamiliar with the routine of the school. Sad, because this used to be a friendly open school district. Now it has become a snobbish group of "educators". Their main focus is state money. What a shame!
