We had eaten at Gun Barrel before and found the food and service to be very good. However, we had family from out of town last evening and wanted to impress them with the restaurant. We found the food to be extremely overcooked (I had half-rack baby back ribs which had obviously been previously cooked, totally dry and the meat pretty much inedible). Two people at the table had the steak sandwich which consisted of a large, very dry hamburger. One guest had the Ahi which she enjoyed very much, but the sweet potato was burned on the outside, as was mine. The potato, for the most part, however, was tasty. The service was good and the waitress responded to my complaint about the ribs, and the manager did not charge us for my meal. I feel badly that this was not a positive experience for us. I will be hesitant again to visit St. George's Gun Barrel, especially with out-of-town guests.
