People with Disabilities BEWARE

I have been a client of the Ruskin Animal Hospital for several years. I am also a person who uses a wheelchair and service dog. During my time at this facility Dr Ott and his family have refused to be accessable for people with disabilities. They went so far as to make their facility LESS SAFE or accessible. When the county got involved, Dr Ott blamed me and others with disabilities. We became the subject of ridicule and blame. He gave an interview to a local paper claiming disabled people were out to harm his good work. The worst part is this past October after a surgery to remove a tumor from my service pup, his staff put a heating pad on my sleeping dog's back and went home. She now has 2nd degree burns down her back and has been in the hospital over two months. Instead of taking responsibility he had me and my pets terminated from any services! This hospital has a lousy attitude and forgets that dog, cats and other creatures are often more than pets...they are a lifeline. Cutting that lifeline is a cruelty that is an example of arrogance and discrimination.
