The best Mexican food in the Washington Metro area, Marguaritas are the best I've ever had. El Charro and El Cazador meals are almost enough to feed two people. Cheese enchiladas are the best I've ever had., tacos are a little different but ok. Salsa and chips are fresh and made daily. The teqita salad and soup are consistently good. I have eaten there for 36 years and have friends from out of town that insist on going there when in town.

Used to Like this More

Going to the Alamo is a long family tradition but the quality has gone down over the last couple years. Still, you can get a good margarita and decent Mexican food.

It's nasty

The last time I was there mice were running through the dining room and cob webs hung down from the lighting fixtures. The parking lot is small and some of the patrons yell nasty things because they don't think you understand. If you want mexican food I would recommend getting a cook book and preparing it at home at least you know how clean the food is that you are preparing yourself.
