I have been going to this salon for greater than 10 years and I am always satisfied with my hair, especially the color. Nina does my hair and she very rally listens to how I want it cut. I have been tryig to grow it out for awhile and then Nina gets scissor happy and it is gone again. She is often too busy watching the workers in the store and trying to manage as she cuts. Sometimes I get annoyed but I haven't had the time to look for another salon. Also, the price is never the same. Every time I go, the price flucuates by $5-$10 depending on Nina's mood for the day. Strange and not very good customer service.

I have been going to this place since 1985. I have had lots of stuff done to my hair and several stylists, some who are no longer there as they have moved on. Maria does my hair as well as my mom and sisters. We all love her. As a matter of fact, I am going tomorrow. And they are a "family oriented" salon. Very friendly and courteous. I called and when the girl who answered asked who I was I gave my name, she immediately knew who I was and we chatted very briefly. Her name is Gloria and she is my usuall shampoo girl. I highly recommend this salon. And pirces are typical.

i have been going to this place since i was 13. i have had everything under the sun happen to my hair from short cuts, long lox, red hair, black hair, blonde hair, up to 3 colors in my head at once. Maria, my stylist, knows i am always a challenge. i always want to do something different withmy hair. the only thing that ticked me off was the price last time i went. usually i get blonde highlights, blonde roots, and second lighter color on the roots underneath my hair, a cut or trim, and a blow out.... costs me ususally about 110. this last time i went all i needed was roots (they were not even that bad, less then a centimeter but because i was going to a family occassion, i didnt want any roots to show) and blow out my hair .... and they charges me 110. i didnt think it was fair since i did not get a trim, i did not get 2 step color processing or 2 tones in my head...i just wanted my blonde roots done on the top of my head. i thought the owner was way out to line to charge that much. if they charge me that again, i will give the owner and the owners daughter a piece of my mind. i have been a loyal client for 10 years now, and i shouldnt be charge that high.

I have just left this horrendous excuse for a salon, when I booked my hair appointment I explained that I required highlights, mostly my roots needed doing, but also the rest as well. So the hairdresser Maria or Julia I cannot remember as I am still in shock, came back with the colour, and no tin foils and started just painting bleach all over my hair. I just about screamed and said - what are you doing? this isnt highlights, (I have been highighting my hair for years) and this silly woman ws trying to paint bleach all over my highlighted head. She said I didnt understand you - absolutely the worst salon I have ever been to. I have even been to a hair salon in Thailand and they knew more what thy were doing than this supposed upmarket Queens salon. I didnt get an apology, she just spun me around and started brutally washing the bleach out. And I just ran from this salon. If you value your hair, dont ever come to this poor excuse for a salon!!!!!!

I love this place! Its so nice to be able to find a good salon in this area. They have lots of stylists and there is one for every "type of hair" that walks through the door! I didn't think the prices were pricey at all. Pretty average for a super professional salon. Definitely cheaper than any place in Manhattan for just as great a job! Cash only, parking isnt that great -- 1 hr parking. I suggest that you take the bus down Myrtle Avenue so you won't have to worry about running out putting coins in the meter.

Depends on who does your hair. The owner is an old school hairstylist and does good highlights. Be prepared to pay cash. They accept checks , but .....

Like the salon and the girls who work there but the prices are crazy for a salon in Queens. I go to a place near my work in Manhattan and the prices there are much more reasonable! I suggest shopping around for a better deal.
