5.0 of 5 stars. So I've never been to New Orleans, but always wanted to try cajun and creole food, so went to Okra's many years ago and go there regularly. The look and feel of this place does remind you of New…

4.0 of 5 stars. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of New Orleans in look and feel. Food hits all of the Cajun and Creole highlights including Gumbo, Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits, Dirty Rice, Etouffee, etc. It's all done…

Not the same service for everyone?

Heard about Okra's on the radio so excited to go and give it a shot. Hubby is originally from Louisiana and we've been to NO numerous times and love the food, ambiance etc. Always looking for enjoyable dining experience and good food. The food was too spicy not tasty your mouth was so hot you couldn't even taste your food. I love spicy food being Spanish but taste is essential you can't cover up weak taste with spice. Secondly, the owner made it a point to visit every table it was a full lunch hour and he made rounds and greeted everyone. My husband and i watched anticipating that he would come to our table well to our surprise ours was the only one he skipped?? Don't want to be cynical but everyone in there was white business types and i'm Spanish and my husband is black could this have played a role? I know in NOrleans we've never been treated this way! Our money is green and spends just like the next persons!!! Wouldn't go back and would not recommend!!
