Expert Reviews of Chau Chow City Restaurant

Citysearch | One of Chinatown's largest restaurants, popular for its late hours and dim sum service.

Chau Chow's first two floors offer seafood; the upper floor serves dim sum. All areas are patrolled by dutiful, formally-dressed waiters. The menu includes hundreds of offerings, from the familiar (moo goo gai...

Great Flounders, A bit Salty

I went to this restaurant as part of a group of 18 people. I'm very impressed with the service and the fish and peking duck. However, the rest of the foods were too heavy on the salts... I may (or may not)...

No, No

I don't know this place got such a high rating. I expect bad service for a Chinese restaurant but this goes beyond. The dim sum is some of the worst I've had. I'm a student from AZ and even they have better...

best dimsum in Chinatown

Chau Chow City has the best dimsum in Boston's Chinatown. I was always taught that the bigger restaurants had better dimsum because of increased food turnover (thereby ensuring fresher food). The fact that...

Crowded Cusine

Every friday people gather from everwhere just to experience this fine restaurant. The food is great, but you should always ask them to cook it the 'chinese way' so they won't add too much msg in it.

After hours...

It's the place that you go to for "real" Chinese food and drinks after clubbing. I know that the kitchen area isn't pleasant BUT what can you do? I mean, CCC opens until the wee hours in the morning.

Worth a look

Clean, tasty and fast service. I recommend the spicy salted squid, crispy fried chicken, and any of their steamed fish dishes. Free parking after 6pm is a plus, especially in Chinatown.

Yum Yum Dim Sum

Great food. Ambiance is standard tacky Chinese fare. This place would be a gold mine if they delivered lunches to the financial district. Lunch specials are quite a bargain and wonderfully prepared.
