Insanely expensive!

My dog had extensive dental work to be done, I didn't expect it to be cheap, but I got an estimate of almost $3,000. However once the dog was anesthetized I get a call from them changing the bill to $4,400- I had little choice but to pay the bill, but in my opinion, that is a huge rip off and not very ethical
