Ruined hair color

I moved up from California and tried this salon because it is in a good neighborhood. I needed a color touchup of the roots. The stylist refused to show me a color chart and I wasn;t able to show her what color I wanted. After the stylist touched up the roots, she, soon afterwards, pulled the color throughout the hair. I did not realize at the time that she probably did it because she saw that the color she used was too dark and she was going to cover the whole head rather than remove the wrong color that she applied to the roots. She did not consult with me about this. I ended up leaving the salon with hair that was almost black, when I went into the salon with a light / medium brown color. I have had to go through two color correction treatments at other salons and it still isn't back where it was. The salon refused to give me a refund when I complained to the manager. They offered me a certificate for another service of the same price, but I really don't want to go back there again. So I am out $75, which is high for a roots touchup, unless I complain to the Better Business Bureau. BTw the difference between the hair color on my photos before and after is obvious.
