Deb Hines, hairstylist and former owner, manager of Studio 500 near JHU is the the bomb - the quintessence of artistic ability. And with the rare blend of pragmatism to boot. She is clear, kind, smart and breathtakingly talented and she writes beautifully (just an aside). Mila is her equivalent in the pedicure department. Another woman who doesn't speak English, whose name escapes me now - washes, rinses, applies hair treaments and when she finishes, gives you a scalp massage that beats a body massage hands down. I have never had anyone massage my scalp just because. This not something I pay for or ask for. She just does it. Unbelieveable. Nothing, I repeat, nothing I have experienced has ever felt so good. Daniela does a wonderful waxing as does the owner of salon (whose name also escapes me). They're tops and they're reasonably priced.
