The best in the Midwest

We stayed in the Irish Room before the hotel changed management. The room featured exquisite appointments,(a Waterford crystal water bucket) reading materials selected for each room's theme, the finest in bedding. Our room had drapes made of 12 X 12 samples of Harris tweed combined with brown velvet. It was an education to see each room and the magnificent art collection. We have traveled world wide and written about our travels so we aren't too easily impressed. My husband said, "I could live in this room and be happy." I can only hope that our visit set for 10/16/08 finds the Hotel Pattee unchanged.They shouldn't mess with perfection.
