Clinic Response Has Gone Downhill

Dr. Merritt and other caregivers in her office in Texas City have been my only source of medical care since 2005 and, until recently, I have thought they were absolutely the best. ONCE YOU GET IN, the level of care at the actual doctor visit is EXCELLENT. However, you can't just call and make an appointment - you have to leave a message and wait for them to return a call to you. This is very inconvenient for people who work (most of us!) whether in an office or on the road or who can't get calls at work. They used to send you your lab work results after every visit and now it takes many calls and follow-ups to get this info. I understand Dr. Merritt has sold her business and this may be a reason for the more recent poor service but it seems like the PA's in the office are not getting the clerical and nursing support they need to provide good customer service to their patients. PA Nadia in the office is an awesome caregiver, but she seems to be stretched way to thin to deliver the kind of care she has given in the past.

Too many patients

I have been trying for over 30 days to get a return call (NO PERSON ANSWERS ANY PHONE!!!) from Dr Merritt's office. I have been available 24hrs a day for a month. The only good thing I can say... The doctor that recommended me, will no longer use her services.
