We had a reservation for 8:30 p.m. but did not get seated until one hour later. That was fine because the place was really full and I'm a pretty patient person. After being seated It took about 15 minutes just to get water. Then another 20 minutes for sushi (I was seated at the Teppanyaki) which was mixed with another customers sushi. The waitress took it to the chef to separate on different plates, it was done so sloppily. Time passes and me and the two other couples seated next to us realize we had not had a chef ONE HOUR LATER. It took almost an hour just to get soup! (which was nothing but broth, two cubes of tofu and a few strips of seaweed). Since we kept staring around us waiting to be served or checked on, the hostess asks if we would like our checks!! We had not even seen our waitress in around an hour. After asking where our chef was we were told it would be "a little bit" more time. After asking a second time the staff hurries to get a chef out. One hour and half later (two and half after entering the restaurant) a chef finally comes out. And guess what.. the stove didn't work!!! Not only did we have to wait ten more minutes for a stove at another table to warm up, we would have to move. The manager says he's sorry and knows we've been waiting a long time, then says we would get 20% off our check. It was now 11 p.m. After the stove not working, it could not have possibly gotten any worse. My boyfriend and I got up and left, Ginza didn't deserve one penny from us.
