Busy But Good

Dr. Nguyen is a busy OB but also will take the time to make sure everything is right. She does have a definite interventionalist style, but tries hard to respect the desires of the patient for less intervention, even putting "no IV" on the chart. Don't expect to get her to attend the birth though if you are not inducing, coming from a large group, you're likely to get one of the other doctors or the on call doctor. I've birthed two babies with her as my OB and she didn't attend either birth.

Good Doctor with room to grow

I really enjoy Dr. Nguyen. She is very attentive and listens to patient concerns. Sometimes though, she presents one way without sharing other options. In more than one instance, I have found myself going the way she planned, only to regret it later. I wish she would be more open about informing patients of all options. She is very kind and is somewhat flexible as an OB. Even if she disagrees with patient opinion, she does try to work with a woman for the best care.
