Unprosfessional tactics

When their paralegal called to advise me of their collection on a payday loan, he was rude & lead me to believe I had no other options but to pay in full. When I refused to give them my bank acct number, they insisted on it being a debit but wanted a conference call with the bank to confirm that the monies would be available. What they failed to tell me was the acct name of the payday loan. In NC, they all are owned by the same people with different titles. After paying the acct off, I rec'd a call from the payday company asking my payment intentions. When I told them that the acct had been paid in full, they informed me that they DON'T use an atty for collection. I had to dispute it with the bank's blessing as they came online & read the reviews. Now I'm being charged a NSF fee by the atty for retracting the payment. The atty advised me that since everyone writing a review are in collection, you can expect negative reviews. They even had the nerve to contact one of my personal references to track me. They could have easily sent a letter as opposed to FREQUENT irritating phone calls.

Unprofessional Associates

When the firm called my home to get a case settled for a visa billed, they failed to mention all options available to me. Conveniently for them they emphazised that my only real option was to set up the one time payment and failed to mention about the monthly payment plan. The representative who spoke to me was rude and disrespectful and hung the phone up on me. WHen the supervisor spoke to me at least I can say she was professional but not her staff. Watch out.

Extremely Unprofessional Law Firm

This law firm is collecting a past due visa bill from me. I gave the law firm my information to take the money out my account. One February 27, 2008 Kristen Swanson Mace called my account pretending to be me and receive my account information. She quoted my bank account balance to me with the representative on the other line. When I called my bank to ask about the security policy over the phone the young lady quoted that they only give information to the account holder. If they know it is not you on the line they will not give away your information. I am now seeking legal advice.
