I wasn't aware of your review until a loyal customer mentioned it to me. When a dog (or cat) comes in badly matted I do not shave or shorten the hair without the customers permission. I called you and explained the situation and the stress it was causing for us to brush and comb because the mats were tight and down to the skin. You had no problem with shaving her. Because of the condition of your puppy's hair there was no way you could have kept it an inch long; shortening it was the only option. My assistant and I worked with your puppy but we weren't able to finish the head to perfection because she was trying to bite the clippers and scissors and safety was my first concern. I'm sorry but I don't stress out any dog (or cat) to get "a perfect haircut", if the animal is stressing out on the table the first grooming experience sticks in their mind and a bad experience haunts them for life. At that point I explained the situation of her behavior on the table and that we did the best we could. You didn't call me back to complain so I assumed you fully understood the circumstances of the haircut due to the condition of your puppy and her behavior on the table. I'm sorry you felt it was a bad experience but my main concern was for the welfaare of your puppy.
