I had checked out the pies after I heard about the great review in the New York Times a while ago and thought they were great. Having stopped by again yesterday, it seems like they've gotten even better! Maybe...

Ok, not great

The pastry was awesome, the meat was tasteless. I think they need to improve the quality of the meat they use and work on the gravy. Some of the "plastic bag" pies you can get in NZ taste better than this ...

The Best Vegetarian Pie In NYC

As a vegetarian, I was aghast at my carnivore friends dragging me along to check out this new Australian pie shop. Much to my surprise - and not little embarassment given my initial objections - the Tuck Shop...

The real deal

Tuckshop got it right. The meat pie was excellent in all the important ways from the pastry and filling right down to temperature and the brown paper bag it came in. The sausage rolls were equally...
