Were we invisible?

We've eaten here 3 times in the last 3 years. The first time was great--the food and service was outstanding. The last 2 times, the wait was longer than we were told it would be. This past year, we watched as some "local favorites" drove up, came in talked with the staff, were seated and half way through their meal by the time we got seated. Our meals the last 2 times were not as good as the first time. I guess the locals keep this place so busy they don't need to make vacationers feel welcome! We won't be back.
