More enthusiasm than skill

This shop is cute and the owner is very nice. She assured us repeatedly that she could make anything fit. I bought a very cute dress that was too big, and she assured me should could make it fit nicely. I was somewhat hesitant to make the purchase because although the dress was "vintage," the price was comparable to most mall stores. But she was so enthusiastic about how well it would fit that I went for it. I received the dress in the mail (no charge for shipping or alterations) within the promised time frame, but was very disappointed that the dress was still too large. Not only that, but the stitching she had done was very basic. I could have done what she did, and I am not a master seamstress. I will likely take the dress to a local tailor to see if they can get it to fit. In addition, my girlfriends had the same experiences with their purchases. We've decided Kim's enthusiasm far exceeds her talent. Beware of being encouraged to buy a piece that isn't really close to your actual size.
