You can never go wrong with a Barnes and Noble. Good selection and usually not too awful busy. Treat it like a library (read there) or a store (buy). They really don't care.

Good bookstore

Barnes & Noble has a great selection of books on any subject in which you could ever be interested. Kids love the special kids' section where they can feel big! Great place to spend an hour or so.
