5.0 of 5 stars. I totally drool for the pepper steak sandwich!!! It is just so darn good. They have a small for a single serving and a large sandwich if you'd like to split it. The cold sandwiches are fine although I...

2.0 of 5 stars. OK, so we just came back from Matt & Tony's and well - it wasn't all that. In fact... it wasn't anything at all. I had read all the reviews and even with the not so stellar reviews - I was excited...

1.0 of 5 stars. I didnt like this place at all. I dont mind the small hole in the wall ambiance. I actually search for spots like this. I ordered the chicken philly. Chicken had no flavor at all. I really wanted to...

4.0 of 5 stars. Someone needs to map out all the old school sub shops in LA, this place would be up on the map. Lots of meat, seasoned pickles, tomatoes and onions on a soft or hard roll. They do have limited...

2.0 of 5 stars. This really is a little hole in the wall, cramped into a tiny suite in a tiny building shoved in between the Del Taco on the one corner, and the 118 FWY on-ramp on the other. There's limited parking,...

Best sandwiches

I have been a customer of Matt and Tony's for 30 years. When I want a real submarine, I go to Matt & Tony's. The size of the parking lot, the number of tables, or how big the place is does not affect the...

1.0 of 5 stars. Matt & Tony's was my first job when I was 15 and while the job totally blew, the food was amazing. I really want to give them more stars because the food is so good, but since they've switched owners...

4.0 of 5 stars. Before there was a franchise called Subway, back when McDonald's was an outdoor stand (yeah, I'm in my early 40's), Matt and Tony's was the best thing going on Victory Blvd in North Hollywood. Folks...

Had awsome sandwiches back when they were in North Holloywood on Victory Blvd near old Victory Drive in

I used to go to get the steak sandwich back in the 70's. I went to the catholic school across the street on Victory Blvd. near the Old Victory Drive in (now a shopping center), and at least back then, they...

The best sandwiches ever

These people know how to make a sandwich. It's not all the glamour and glitz they're simple and delicious with items cooked right in front of you, and they pack on the veggies.

4.0 of 5 stars. Very similar to DeFranko's Submarines in Van Nuys (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ttTeBc8mRTKat1vXCl9jjw) and almost as good. I didn't really want to compare the two, but they're very similar.Fresh bread,...

Don't Waste Your Time

Previous review must have been written by the owner. The food was flavorless, the service was slow and rude, and there's nowhere to park or even sit. How hard is it to make a sandwich taste good? Too hard apparently.
