We have been going to Parents for over 30 years with new cars, junkers and everything in between. My experience? They do the work on time; they always call you before proceeding, their estimates are accurate, they do good work. Most of all -- they're totally trustworthy. When we had junkers, they'd often advise us not to bother fixing something, it wasn't worth it. Or they'd suggest a cheaper alternative that was appropriate for a junker. If they say I must fix something, I totally trust them and do it. Their rates are not cheap, probably average from what I have heard from others. But they won't, absolutely won't, cheat you.

After discussing in detail my warranty with the man at Parents I was told that my warranty covered the work I needed done. Then after they began the work they told me that NO the warranty would not cover. I said, 'Well, I thought we discussed that this was covered and I can't afford to pay out of pocket when I have a warranty.' I was told that I need to learn how to understand mechanics and warranties. They put the car back together having done no work and billed me for the labor. I was made to feel stupid and treated with derision after having been a customer with them for over seven years.

Very reliable. Done right, done honestly and done on time. If the work is not worth doing because of the age or condition of the car, they'll tell you and recommend an alternative.
