Won't go to anyone else

Fabulous place!! The salon is laid out very nicely- rather than being one big room there are several different areas which, along with the large amount of natural light, contributes to the overall pleasant and calm atmosphere. I am always greeted with a smile and a vast array of magazine's to peruse while I get my hair colored at the color table. (Unlike most places, they have a seperate area where the color is applied rather than doing it at the stations) As great as the salon is, what keeps me coming back is my stylist Ashley Von Mettenheim. She is a genius with color- she seems to know a million different techniques that all produce really natural looking results. Her cuts are also amazing- After a terrible hair cut when I was younger, I had sworn off short styles and had been sporting hair down to my elbows ever since. After a few visits with Ashley it was very clear that my hair couldn't be in better hands and I can't tell you how amazing my shoulder length cut turned out. Not only did it look great when I left the salon, but the way she cut it made my normally unruly hair easy for me to style on my own. Ashley is extremely knowledgeable, talented and attentive and I STRONGLY recommend her services as well as Dolce Vita itself.

Elegance at a reasonable price

I have loved Dolce Vita Salon from the first time I walked in. The elegant surroundings belie moderate prices for wide ranging services from hair to expert facials and nails. Jeanpaul is brilliant with hair color and cut, resulting in a "do" that turns heads and prompts questions about where I had my hair done. Dolce Vita's staff is particularly friendly, and my appointments are on time, which I appreciate with my busy schedule.

By far the best hair salon in the D.C. metropolitan area. Focused on amazing cuts and color. The very best part is the customer service. Jean Paul and Sam are always willing to do what ever it takes to make the client happy! I will recommend the salon to everyone! The prices are great!!
