Good Food - Rude Service

Maybe I am the only one but every time I go into this little deli/bakery I feel like the staff is simply tolerating my presence. I went in there today to buy a dessert tray for a Derby party. Because it was kinda last minute, I asked if they could make up a dessert tray. A nice young lady said "sure, we can do brownies or something like that" I said that would be fine she went to the back and spoke to some women who was older than her, who came out shaking her head as if I had really ask for the impossible. She said she could not take an order for a tray but I could choose what I wanted out of the case. I asked, "how many would you put on a standard dessert tray" and another older woman said sarcastically.."as many as you want" as if i was the stupidest person on the planet for asking. The young girl who initially tried to help me looked embarrassed at their rudeness. I told them to forget the whole thing. There are other fine places in Louisville to find bakery goods where the staff doesn't make you feel like they are doing you a favor accepting your business. When I got out to the car my wife asked me what happened and when I told her she just chuckled and said they always make her feel like a second class citizen when she goes in there. I guess it isn't just me. We decided to just find a different place with which to do business.

caramel cake

I thought the yellow cake with caramel icing was wonderful. How can one get one of those cakes shipped out of town.
