Exceptional Service

We stayed at the Galt House while working at a conference in the Convention Center. The hotel is lovely and we really had no complaints. We were delighted by the service! When we stay in a hotel for multiple nights we usually try to identify the staff person who is service-oriented, and address any questions or requests to that person. At the Galt every single staff person we spoke to over the course of our 5 day-4 night stay was eager to help us in any way, generally going above and beyond our expectations. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The housekeeping service was great! The food at the Magnolia Room was delicious, and the service was terrific. We didn't use any of the other hotel facilities since we were busy at the convention center. Our only concern was the elevator service in the West Tower (Rivue). It was extremely slow. We used the stairs frequently, which would have been impossible if our room had been on a higher floor. Overall, we loved the Galt House. I hope we can visit Louisville and stay there again some time when we have more time to enjoy the hotel and the city.

What a shame!

Went to stay for our anniversary. Rooms have been updated and remodeled very nicely. However, the staff was rude, lazy and incompetent. Will not stay again.
