This is the best family-owned shoe store anywhere. The prices are a bit higher, but the service is unbelievable. Personal attention, special requests...they even let folks take home shoes to try on and bring them back if they don't fit! They visit the local nursing home and fit residents for shoes there if they can't come to the store. They know my shoe size when I walk in the door, are friendly, and able to special order anything. I grew up there and now live over 70 miles away but still return there to buy shoes. I have also known them to open their store during off hours if someone calls and needs something fast. You just don't get that level of service in a big city.
