Business Summary  what's this?

Crowther's in the Newport County area is a one star Italian restaurant. They're still working to earn their stars. It's known for its seafood. This restaurant is very affordable.

User Reviews of Crowthers Restaurant

new and improved

i have dined at crowthers restaurant about once a month over the past couple of years. while the food has always been mediocre, i have noticed a pleasant change over the past few months. while i am not positive, i beleive this may be due to a recent change in ownership. whatever it is i hope they keep it up.

Long wait and cold food

My parents visited Crowthers last night. It was the worst dining experience they ever had. They were there for two hours. The wait for food and service was frustrating. My Dad ordered the clam chowder it was cold, he sent it back (with his spoon still in it) and was just as cold. The meal was cold and the portions were extremely small and over priced. The were not enough servers and the were overwhelmed. They never returned to check on them. The manager gave lame excuses. He said he had a party of 35, the menu was new. They did not compensate my my parents. This would be an ideal place for Chef Ramsey to visit. A definite Kitchen Nightmare.

Downhill for years

This place was okay a few years back, but it's been a downhill slide since then. I ate there a few months back and the seafood tasted like it had been thawed and refrozen over and over again. The place was not clean and a peculiar odor permeated throughout. The place was almost empty, yet the service was terrible, and our waitress was actually drinking at the bar while we waited for service! NEVER EVER AGAIN!
